Where we go:
From Arran we visit Ailsa Craig and Pladda; we tour round the Kyles of Bute & the Cumbraes; we can explore Loch Fyne & Kilbrannan Sound.
We can also arrange charter tours designed to your requirements for that special event.
Wildlife to be seen:
The Firth of Clyde is home to numerous kinds of bird; from the spectacular diving Gannets and dumpy Guillemots & Razorbills to graceful Shearwaters and the perennial favourite, the Puffin.
We provide waterproofs & lifejackets; you should wear warm clothing (fleeces are good!) and footwear. Hats & gloves are sometimes advisable. For the longer tours soft drinks & snacks are suggested. If you wish to bring cameras and binoculars please do; but we can not be responsible for their safety.
The boat is assessed for safety annually and is rated for journeys of upto 20 nautical miles from any safe haven in daylight & favourable conditions; additionally “Bennan” is rated for upto 10 NM from any safe haven at night in favourable conditions. All crew members are qualified First Aiders.
Passengers will be briefed about weather and safety before setting out on the tour. We will take due regard to sea conditions before sailing; in the event that the weather deteriorates during a tour the skipper will decide if the journey is to be curtailed.
